You'll need to find one for a Chevy. Ford used different bolt pattern. An SM319 is what you want. You will have to use the '51 side cover/shift arm assembly and may need to change a fork inside.

There is also a later one with all synchros. You'll need to fabricate shift arms for it to use the '51 shifter.

I'd try to find a core for $100 and have it gone through. I had mine rebuilt for under $300.
