Here's something to try if you don't want to spend $300 on a pin welder. May sound crazy but it worked for me. I MIG welded finishing nails to the dent area head down. Not having a slide hammer, I used Vise Grips to pull. I only recommend this if you don't have a lot of this kind of work to do.
