For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Jan 2013 Posts: 2,234 Moderator: Interiors, Texas Bolters, Name that Part | | Moderator: Interiors, Texas Bolters, Name that Part Joined: Jan 2013 Posts: 2,234 | I figured that i would start a new thread since i can't find what i am looking for and I don't want to interrupt a previous thread.
I was planning on using Disc brakes in the front of my 1951 3100 to help with stopping and keep the drum brakes in the rear. I was also planning on keeping the stock (new) master cylinder. Is this going to cause an issue? Is it required that i change to a dual master cylinder system? I was told that i can not use a the disc/drum proportioning (sp?) valve.
Thanks for any help with figuring this out. I still need to but all the new brake lines, etc.
