I am rebuilding a 62 235 engine out of a c10 to put in my 51 3100. I would like to use a 261 cam, specifically the Sealed Power cs-293 cam. It says it fits the 56-58 235 but does not list the 62. Is this just because it was not offered in the 235 in 62? Is there any reason this cam won't work. I would also use the vs424 valve springs. Can anyone tell me if sealed power offers the right lifter? I have not been able to find the part number.
I am also thinking of boring the block .040 over since the pistons are shot. Is there any benefit to milling the 848 head and if so how much?
