If not, you have a 53 235 originally from a car with powerglide transmission. Not a shabby engine at all, BTW. Full pressure oil, insert rod bearings, aluminum pistons, hydraulic lifters. All you need is an 848 head from a 56 or later 235 and you have all the power that a stock truck needs. What 261s had captain bars on the left? I have a '54 261 with only one set. | | |
