A 1950 might have a splash-oiler 235, but if it's had a newer engine transplanted, no. Once an insert-bearing engine starts knocking more than a slight rattle, there's usually crankshaft damage. If the engine is a 54-up 235, count on a rebuild, and possibly a replacement crankshaft.
