I bought a '50 knowing the engine was bad ,
cranked it up when I got it & he was right, its a knocking ....Took a close look this morning and noticed P.O. had by -Passed the filter . He cut the rubber hose in half . He added a tubing in place of the filter ...
With the filter gone the oil just circulated . now without a tiny hole that's in the filter he starved the bearings , Is my theory correct ????
