well I put almost 500 miles on her this week hauling about 1200# or a little more of equipment in the back so she's officially broken in. I am thinking I'll try to pull the steering gear out pretty soon and see if there is anything I can repair or build up to help. the adjusting screw is down almost halfway below the top of the locknut. there is definitely way too much play left to do more with that. does anybody know what years of the manual steering gear box interchange with the 61? I would assume that a 3/4 ton would use the same box as a half ton but maybe not. anyway we'll have to see if there is anymore I can do to it other than replacement.
