For helping keep this great

on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Oct 2012 Posts: 85 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Oct 2012 Posts: 85 | I have a 235 engine on this 1950 3100 with a Rochester carb. This past winter I had the carb rebuilt by a reputable mechanic. Since then the engine is sputtering. It starts and idles great and if I give it gas slowly it runs good. If I do it quickly it sputters and is gutless when changing gears. I checked my vaccuum advance on the distributor and it works fine when I rev the engine. Timming is dead on. The engine ran good before the carb rebuild, just thought it be good to rebuild it since I didn't know it's history. Any ideas.
