hey guys
new to the web page, but find it very useful. I recently purchased a 1949 chevy pickup. Got it cheap, with lots of extras. Recently took off the old cab and put a 5 window cab on. My problems are in the brakes and wheels. I have a 8 lugs on the truck and one of my drums busted into two pieces. I would like to switch to six lug and have the option of disc brakes(instead of the old pad system on it now). I was also told that I could get alot of power out of a straight six. I am wondering if a 216 will work or do I need to start looking bigger. What do you think fella's
