There are two types of chrome shops for hexavalent and trivalent that I have used. The only shop that I know that still does the hexavalent is in Gainesville, TX is called North Texas Quality Chrome. They are the best and the most expensive. I used them for my bumper. Ask for Jackie Peebles.

They use the less expensive method and sometimes a yellow tint in the chrome process call trivalent. They are very good for smaller items.
