Check to make sure it's not just the pilot light.
That would mean the signals are working but the light on the switch is not.
If the whole system is not working look for a fuse holder off the switch and check that the fuse is not blown.
Can you post how many wires come off the switch? Any markings?

Sounds like a bad flasher but you've changed that.
Your new flasher may also be bad.
