My 3100 with a 235 1958 vintage engine. It had a column mounted shift the po converted it to a floor shift. The stick shift is not where it should be and it's a three speed at 2500 rpm we are doing 50mph. I would like to purchase a four speed stick shift transmission which would bolt up to my engine without a lot of hassle. I guess a direct swap. Which transmission would we be looking for?We don't need a granny gear nor a 70mph road speed...55-60 would be nice. Maybe another three speed? Just don't have a clue never have done this type of swap. Thanks for your help!
