How and why is a single rear tire Panel a 1 ton, I thought it had to be a dually to be a 1 ton. So I thought.

Anyway, I'm going to go look at one tomorrow that is for sale cheap and he is calling it a 1 ton. 1952 Chevrolet, cargo doors, no rust at all ?! New Mexico truck, original wheels, no seats, no motor, no trans, no glass, no title.

I guess my question is how many lug and what size wheels make it what as far as 1 ton vs 3/4
