Whenever these issues come up, I start thinking about fabrication solutions. This one could be pretty simple.
A plate that is fastened on to the current lug studs with another plate that is offset and has new lug studs on it. Someone should sell such a solution. Since the plate is behind the wheel, nobody would ever see it.
