The float has a hole in it, so I pulled the unit that night. I'm kinda concerned because the rheostat(?) part was completely submerged in gas. I'm wondering if this is normal. When I had my 62 GMC I was always worried about that thing shorting out and causing an explosion. Is there a chance this can happen???
