VirginiaFireTuck, just open hood and put the positive to the starter and ground anywhere to the engine or frame. The positive cable from the battery goes to the starter so, why remove the floormat to get to the battery? Here is a
pic of the drivers side of my floormat, the passenger is just the opposite. P.S. You can do the same with a battery charger.
Another good recommendation, get a Optima battery, it will fit just perfect on a diagonal in your battey tray (6 volt that is)! And, they are great batteries!!
