The xxxx693 switch uses a center tap on the resistor. The
resistor is out of the circuit in the full speed, second speed
puts the center tap to the end or half the resistance in the
circuit and 3rd. gear puts the whole 3ohms in the circuit.
There will only be an in and out screw connection for the wires.
