Yeah...if it fits. The pilot is what I'm concerned about. For the #1930 there is usually a note like this -

OTC 1930 Tubular Spanner Wrench - Wrench for servicing 1954 to current Chevrolet and GMC 11,000 to 13,500 lb. axles. Socket O.D. is 2-7/8".

I'm working on a 49. Any idea what is different on a 49-53 ?
