1954 Chevy 3100

I am installing the "Painless" wiring kit.

I have the original starter and the point/ballast type distributor. My starter does not have the Resistor terminal.

Here is what the kit is saying:

2. If your starter does not have a RES terminal, and you are using the supplied ignition switch or a stock switch, a starter relay may be necessary to
assist with resistor override. AAW / FACTORY FIT has relay kits available under part number 500142.


My question is, I dont have that relay kit, what are my options other than ordering it?
