| | | | Joined: Feb 2002 Posts: 12,029 Cruising in the Passing Lane | | Cruising in the Passing Lane Joined: Feb 2002 Posts: 12,029 | yes, the side spare was RPO 341 in the TF years, 2 variations for 4 models, that could have been added to a pickup of any possible color at the factory [or at a dealer] .... were the brackets added to the bedside before it was painted? or were the brackets painted along with the welled fenders? or did they have a stock of brackets pre-painted all possible colors? or did they paint brackets to match what was needed at the moment? or was the bracket on your 53 painted some other time in the last 60 years? were the rear fenders in 53 always 'body color'?
