I didn't see any primer under my interior finish either. On the restoration; however, the entire truck was sandblasted and then epoxy primed. Steering column and wheel on my truck were finished using Jim Carter's steering column acrylic enamel paint - not RustOleum - with a clear coat of urethane over the wheel. I think it is an excellent match of the original with a hint of purple. Engine compartment is body color. Firewall has painted flat black fiberglass insulating pad. Cab roof has original waffle type insulation glued to it with the standard brown fiber/card board headliner.
