| | | | Joined: Mar 2011 Posts: 153 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Mar 2011 Posts: 153 | My seat back cushion is done in red vinyl that is secured to the springs with 6 long metal strips that have triangular tines that crimp the vinyl to secure it. These strips completely encircle the perimeter of the springs. They were painted black when new. The cushion that you sit on clearly came from a different truck. So, were these stock GMC upholstery strips? I've never seen them before (just the small C-clips).Did GMC use bright red vinyl (not the maroon used by Chevy)? I'm trying to decide if this was a custom aftermarket reupholster job from many years ago. Thanks!
