I'm almost done with the conversion, 350 probable about 300 hp with 3spd. I pulled the cover off the rear and I have the 3.07 gears. It was originally a 270 3spd truck but when I got it the 270 had been replaced with a 235. After rebuilding the 235 it was to anemic, so I sold it and started over with the 350. I'm hoping the extra hp will make if a little more drivable. I'm not looking for a hot rod just an old truck to drive and use for around town and camping trips.
What do you think, will the 3.07 gears be too tall. I'm also running a 215/75 15 tire. Thanks Larry
