Has anybody ever ditched the side mounts for their radiator? I'm thinking about digging up a set of "U" shaped rubber mounts from a later model truck and building some custom brackets. I've had leak problems in the past, and now the entire side of the radiator is comming off. This may not be a big deal to most of you who only see street driving, but maxing out the suspension flex with this 4x4 really twists the frame where the radiator mounts, and is literally pulling the radiator apart. Right now, I've only got 4 bolts holding it in place (instead of 6), but it's still giving me troubles.
Any ideas? If I can get ahold of a camera, I'll post a few pics.
