On my '55 2nd 3100, the part that pulls the clutch fork is a 3/8 rod bent at a 90deg on one end. Over the years of use it had elongated the hole in the lever to almost the point of failure. My first idea of a fix, was to put a bushing of some type in the hole in the lever. But the other end of the rod was wearing out the hole in the clutch fork as well. One of my buds came up with the idea of a heim joint, "thanks Bruce" A quick trip to Ace hardware for a 3/8 female heim joint, a few washers and nuts and a piece of 3/8 allthread, and a plan was devised.
