When trying to determine the series numbers and the size of the trucks. Remember it is a GMC! Nothing ever makes sense when comparing them to the Chevys of the era.
We tend to forget that back in the old days, GMC's were different in many ways. Usually they were considered the no-frills workhorse. Nowadays a Chevy Silverado and a GMC Sierra are practically the same. Great find !! When I was young, I thought those hoods were UGLY! Now they look great! Good luck with her.
