Scarred brass will not reseal. Good news? You can still get the replacement parts. Stainless is hard to work with, Copper/Nickel is better. Old lines..I think were annealed steel. Rust rather well. You will know what a "banjo" fitting is when you are done. That is a plus. Are we having fun yet?
