well I did remove the window as well as the wing window and mount yesterday. I was really surprised at how well it went.I am amazed how little rust my doors have. just a little spot down at the bottom where the two surfaces are close together at the corner. easily cut out about a 2 X 2 1/2 piece, welded in new metal and on with the show. I had some grief with the drivers door where the side had been rubbed in enough to cause a crease above the bottom edge most of it's width. I put wood blocks in there and jammed the flat end of a crowbar between them and used some heat in places as I twisted it to spread the blocks. got a lot of it out. used more bondo than planned on that door but very sound metal underneath it. scratched it up good with a 60 grit sanding disc for grip so hopefully the stuff will stay put for years. so far I have really enjoyed the work on the old truck. even replacing some floor pan and cab supports wasn't so bad once I got the areas cleaned out and rust cut away. I was sure not impressed by the replacement cab supports- thickness noticeably less that stock metal and bends not very close either. had to re-shape them quite a bit but for sure it is stronger than it was with the rusted pieces. it's going very well I think. maybe inside of a month I'll have time to get some paint on it and start re-assembly. looks like I need to buy a new floor mat- the old one is fairly rotten for only being 53 years old. guess they don't make em like they used to.Raymond
