I don't know about the s10 swap kit, but I have a 6.0lt. if your thinking about building your own; put your engine where it needs to be. we moved back until the heads hit the firewall. the 2holes infront of my crossmember are for the stock V8 mounts. heres how we did it:

make what you need

when all else fails

radiator clearance is what your really after
