1947|48|49 Chevy Dump Truck (4100 - 1.5 Ton)
Introducing my big dump... this 1.5 ton workhorse was used on a Pennsylvania farm for many years, and I'm hoping to turn it into a weekly driver.
I've noticed a lot of custom fabrication/patches and modifications - most notably the 350 SBC V8 under the hood. There's a lot missing, too, including the instrument gauges, switches, body trim/panels, and cab heater. The title claims it's a 1947 while the VIN decodes to a July 1948 '4100' build, but the firewall seems to be from 1949 (if my research is correct).
I'm already fairly deep into the restoration w/ my pops, but I thought I'd post my truck & renovation journey to share knowledge on this particular configuration. I haven't seen too many dumps being used/restored, so if anyone else had/has a dump and would like to connect, feel free to reach out!
