Bought a very unfinished project truck 2 years ago with alot of parts.
Previous owner had a dream, but not much enthusiasm.
Got it set up for a C4 Corvette front/rear suspension.
Got the suspension in and motor mounts set for the Vette running gear.
Got the rear fuel tank in and working on the filler neck shield inside the bed. Trying to make it look like factory.
Have the spray on insulation inside the cab. Most of the rust spots have been replaced/repaired but still working on.
Auto shifter that looks like a manual.
Goal is to make a tribute truck for my grandfather that had a '52 with a tank in the bed for fuel deliveries for his Mobil station back in the day.
'Daves Mobil Service' in Laurel, Mt. He retired in '76 when Mobil pulled out of Montana.
I want it to look like it has set in a field for 40+ years. Patina, but functional... and maybe whoop your butt on the road. cool

The gent I bought the project from had sourced the kit, but we got it in. Kit was from a company called 'Flat Out Engineering'.
Now having difficulty getting ahold of them to get pertinent info that was not in the kit paperwork. It does not have any recommendation for size/rate for the coilovers. Stock Vette has shocks and that fiberglass leaf springs for front and rear. Have to figure out at least a front sway bar that will adapt to C4 front and stock frame, also.

Rusto-mod Would you have any interest in a 55 mobil gasoline truck ?? Our local town (600) had a mibil gas station. Something about the lids on the 5 ??? compartment tank truck took it out of service, has 261 is all there.

Probably not. This will be in my collection, and am running out of garage space. I am making a tribute truck about my grandpappy and his Mobil station, which he had a split windshield (52 been told) 3/4 ton and the stock bed in place with the fuel delivery tank bolted inside. Mom thinks about a 300+ gallon tank, but she was only about 10 years old then. I was about 10 when he sold the station and retired and of course had a newer delivery truck. I'm trying to bring a tear to her eye when she sees this being she would go with her dad as a kid on deliveries... and we all loved her dad dearly.
