This truck belonged to My wife's mom's late husband Jim. He bought it 1983, and passed away in 1986. I met my wife in 1990 and saw the truck for the first time shortly after. My mother-in-law kept in in the garage, usually covered, for the next 26 years. She'd take it out on occasion to pick up flats of flowers etc. She even took it to the Woodward Cruise a couple times. The truck was always meticulously maintained. She added the stainless wheel covers and matching bed cover. I'd wanted this truck since I first saw it.

On my 47th birthday in 2012 I got two envelopes from Marlene (My mother-in-law). I opened the "Hallmark" one first, nice card, unfortunately the $50 I was hoping for wasn't there. The second envelop contained the signed title to this truck. Shocked would be an understatement. I'll never sell it.

I replaced the tires, added a new dual exhaust and misc maintenance items. It currently has 67,000 miles on it.

350 4bbl, TH400, air, tilt, cruise etc.

Nice looking truck... I've always liked the "rootbeer brown colors"

Way way back, I bought a '78 Silverado 2500 brand new. I think it was the same color. Cordova brown, if I recall correctly. I didn't keep it very long.

I had the same model from 1973, it was a GM proving ground truck that I bought from a farmer/Michigan meat inspector who lived near the Milford grounds. I loved the truck but could not afford to keep two at the time. I have had several dually's and crew cab dually's since. I just sold a 2000 K3500 crew cab diesel 4x4 dually.
