You've probably already seen this info. These are the B&W pics and documentation that I am using to paint the engine in my '54. Ordered the paint from the Filling Station today. Gonna try to paint the engine while it's in the truck.

The Assembly Manual for your trucks will show the correct location of the valve cover decal.

Suggest you peruse the albums of some of the frequent "pickey" Stovebolt posters. Some of them are pretty near factory specs.

There have been a gazillion posts on engine paint. The general consensus is that everything was painted the same color at once, except the bolt-on items: fan, gen and bracket, starter, distrib, coil, fuel pump, carb, lines, road draft tube, etc. Those items, if painted, are gloss or semi-gloss black.
