On another forum I frequent I read a response about a year or so ago from a Eastwood representative that stated that the Eastwood equipment is not rebranded but designed and built to be "equivalent" (Eastwood's emphasis) to Lincoln's welder models. Maybe now they are using Miller as the design objective.

as Craftsman, Kenmore etc. I'm sure that there are a lot of other businesses that do the same,
that's why I was asking. The Eastwood welding equipment doesn't look like it's the junk that's
being made off shore.
Don't matter to me, I've used nothing but Miller equipment for over four decades at home and
at work, but I was just curious.
I get guys asking about it once in awhile since I made my living welding for many years.

That response by Eastwood is very carefully stated.
They could be made by Lincoln for Eastwood or they could be made in China, Nebraska, Mexico, or Canada (it is interesting that the poster did not mention the country of manufacture).

their welding machines were made to their specs, in Hunan
province.
But I'd bet a dollar to a doughnut that Miller and Lincolin
follow the same path for some of their machines. It just boils
down to the bottom line and that's what really counts now days.

I got a Miller 140 unit (110v), so that we can move it around and easily find an outlet. It has worked very well on sheet metal and 1/4" steel. I found a good on-line price and then negotiated with a local firm. Since I needed a tank, the local guy actually beat the on-line shipped price.
