| | | | Joined: Jun 2011 Posts: 39 New Guy | | New Guy Joined: Jun 2011 Posts: 39 | I recently purchased a 1959 Chevy Fleetside shortbed and was hoping someone on here could help me with the paint and trim code. The tag in the drivers side door state the Trim is 258A and the Paint is 738J.
I also hope someone could also direct me to where to post a question about interpreting the vin# on my truck. The vin# is V3A59K120614.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

59 = 1959
K = built at the KansasCity plant
120614 = unit production sequence/serial number
there's no other info in the vin .... never seen any lists of trim codes, but the paint code 738 is Frontier Beige, the J means "standard fleetside" which I think indicates all one color
