Here is the short story behind my 66 C-10.
I was bidding on it on eBay (without tell my wife of course) and the bidding ended two days early for some reason. So I was caught being the highest bidder. I called the gentleman selling the truck to see if he wanted to repost it and he said no that he would accept my bid of $330. So two days later I told my wife (she was not happy. She said it was a piece of junk.) Well I had to go to GA. to get her and bring her home to Ohio. So I paid more to go get the truck than what the truck cost. This was in Dec. 2007 & Jan.of 2008 so when I got her home I put her in the garage to clean her up and to see what I had or didn't. As you can see from the pictures I have a good bit of work to do. But this is not my first frame off redo, in 1997 I did a frame up on my 1980 Chevy Long Bed.
I hope to start on her after the first of the year. My wife has picked out the paint for her already (atomic orange from Kirker, she coming around to the old girl.)
I'm going to do as many upgrades as I can afford. I figure it will take at lest 5 years for me to complete her.
So I'll update when I get started on her.
Thank
Ray J
PS. I'm new, I posted to wrong place the first time. SORRY

I once had a '63 Fleetside that was my daily driver for a couple years. That body style looks awesome with those bigger tires. I'm looking forward to following your progress.

Welcome to the Stovebolt

Been a long time since I updated, not much has happened got the frame all tore down. been sitting in my garage since 2010. I have bought a good set of trail arms and control arms for it in the last three months. posted pics in my photo bucket album. Winter is on us here in Ohio so I'm hoping to start blasting the frame in Arpil of this year and get her back on her wheels.

Sometimes our projects have to sit on the back burner for awhile. Glad to hear that you haven't given up.

Keep us informed on your progress.
