Last year I had an exhaust valve stick open on my 1951 Canadian model 216. This is the style that was made from 1950 to 1952, with the short side cover and a rocker arm feed from the rear cam bearing area. Long story short, it had a crack near #3 exhaust which was repaired along with evrything else on the head. However the crack repair was not entirely successful. Finally I managed to buy a replacement head which has just returned from the shop. The casting number is a US style number I think, and it came from a Powerglide motor, low pressure with hydraulic lifters! The two heads are pretty well identical except for the numbers. The Canadian casting number is 3695451 and the US version is 3835499. For those who can't find a listing for their Canadian casting numbers, just do a Google search for "casting XXXXX" and this will take you to a PDF file that has listings from the 30s up to the late 50s.
