I have a 1954 Chevrolet 1/2 ton HYDRAMATIC Deluxe (Blue Option, with the 2-tone interior, checkerboard seat, clock, radio, airflow heater, etc, etc...) in Transport Blue exterior paint, and 99K orig. miles.(off the road since at least 1990.)Cal vehicle>>>NO rust. ///// I also have a 1954 Chevrolet 1/2 ton HYDRAMATIC Suburban (Clam Doors) in Transport Blue exterior paint. Awesome vehicle with only 81K orig. miles. Off the road since 1973. All original paint, with some fading paint/primer showing. Cal vehicle>>>NO rust. Although it has the radio, airflow heater, etc, it does NOT have the Deluxe color scheme the pickup does. +++QUESTION:+++Did Chevrolet put out a DElUXE Suburban for 54-55 First with the Blue option color scheme? And by the way, anyone know of ANYONE in the WORLD with a HYDRAMATIC 1954 Chevrolet Suburban? Or the Pickup either, for that matter? (I know they made varios combinations of the Deluxe interior: green, red, etc)

Clarification: The first vehicle is a PICKUP...the second is a SUBURBAN. Sorry!

No - there were no regular production two-tone (interior and/or exterior) Suburbans in 1954. There was one interior color scheme.

Yes, I had a neighbor in 1972 that had a Hydra-Matic equipped Suburban.

Your other questions seem to be jumbled together.

There are people on this site who have Hydra-Matic equipped 1954 trucks.

The Hydra-Matic was an option that was separate from other options (such as the various two-tone interior, and two-tone exterior, and the deluxe options (for pick ups). These options (and others) could have been ordered in any combination on certain models.

A 1954 Truck Data Book (for salesmen) has a lot of information about standard and optional features on all models of trucks. One version of the 1954 Truck Data Book is sold in reproduction (from most of the parts vendors that are listed in the Links section of Stovebolt.com). Some 1954 options were never listed in any of the versions of the 1954 Truck Data Book (for example, all of the two-tone interior options for pickups and panels were never listed in a Data Book).

I have a '54 GMC with a Hydra-matic.

Being its a GMC it doesn't help much sorting out options Chevrolet offered.

My '55 1st GMC Suburban has an SM420 but I've seen a Hyrdra-matic equiped Suburban. If I can recall where I may be able to find pictures of it.

1955 1st GMC Suburban | 1954 GMC 250 trailer puller project | 1954 GMC 250 Hydra-Matic | 1954 Chevy 3100 . 1947 Chevy COE | and more...
It's true. I really don't do anything but browse the Internet looking for trouble...

I have a '55 1st series, sort of blue green bottom, white top with the factory installed Hydra-matic. It does not even have the whole cut out for the clutch pettle. I have not come across a surbuban as of yet.
