where do i start to id my truck corretly? I have a '59 Apache 36 w/ a 261 4-speed and mainly want to see if this was correct from factory. It has offset rearend, previous owner had no additional info. Vin reads 3E59J110329

3E = 3600, 3/4T, 123.2" WB
59 = 1959
J = Janesville assembly plant
110329 = factory vehicle sequence # [serial]

beyond that, whatcha see is whatcha got - as far as the specific equiupment [engine, etc] the only way to tell is to find the numbers on the pieces and see if the date codes are 'about right' ... the rear is likely the standard 4.57
