Hello Stovebolt fellers, It's been many years since I've jumped back into the forum. I am aging and I have a '58 C-60 Viking that I am looking to sell. Trouble is I have no idea what it's worth. At one time, about 10 years ago, she was in mint condition. Always stored inside, driven very little except for firewood in fall. Front fenders have now rusted through on top, but cab is in excellent shape. Runs and drives great 2 years ago last time I had it out of the warehouse. Dump box w/PTO, etc. Interior very good. Doors shut nice and tight, good heater, everything works. I live in NW Ontario. I will try to post a picture if I can figure out how. I think I figured out the drag photo option. only Picture i have is from years ago - so I will take some picts and post when I move some stuff and pull her out of the warehouse.
For now any advice or help would be appreciated. Average price on outfits like her? would be nice to have the truck go to a young buck who would want a project to put a couple fenders on the old girl. Chi miigwech - many thanks in Ojibwe Pastor Rick
Pastor Rick - It has been a long time since we've last seen you sir. Not to be a spoilsport, but the Swap Meet Guidelines require you to post an asking price for your ad to stay active in the forum. No price means I have to remove the ad.
Perhaps we should move this post to the Big Bolts forum so other "Big Bolt" owners can offer you some feedback on your ask for advice/help on deciding an asking price???
Then once you've decided that detail, you can post a new thread in the Trucks For Sale forum.
Let me know and I can move the post for you so you can seek the help/advice you're asking for.
EDIT NOTE: Pastor Rick's post moved to the "Big Bolts" forum for help from fellow "Big Bolters".

Thanks Gdads51, much appreciated. Yes, I understand why you had to remove my post. My bad - I should have read the reqt's to post. Yes, please move my post to BIG BOLTS. I'm sure those fellas there can give me some pointers. Also, today I got her out of the warehouse and took some additional pictures. Move it on over to Big Bolts and I can add a few more recent pictures after that. Thanks again!
Hey Mike, THANKS for your reply and questions. Here are the answers. I'd appreciate a suggested price range for the '58 C-60. I'm old and not looking at "top dollar" prices - I'd much rather know that someone will do some minor restoration to a pretty sound truck that's nearly 70 years old. I have taken more pictures and will attach them if I can figure out how. Thanks, Rick
Do you have a clear title in your name? YES
How many miles? 06526 Odometer does not work
Does it have the Firestone RH-5 20"rims? I'm not sure, I replaced the split rims in 2013
Age of the tires? 13 years
Interior condition. Over all very good
What engine does it have? I was told 235 inline 6 cyl, but I'm not sure
Does it have a 2-speed rear? YES
Do the brakes work? YES
Do the lights all work? YES, but missing rear bulb and lens
Do all the gauges work? Yes, all but fuel gague
What does the under carriage look like? see pict Hydraulic dump box/PTO operates great.
I did a search on C-60 trucks from 1956 thru 1970 and they were listed from 2k to 7k. The 7k ones were in real good condition, and the 2k ones were questionable. I think yours is somewhere in the middle. Unfortunately big trucks don’t sell for much as they cost allot more to fix them up.
Additionally, DOT recommends replacing the tires that are over ten years old, regardless of tread wear. You’ll have to factor that in too.

Pastor Rick - Phil has a valid point about the extended age of the existing tires that should be considered as a factor in your price decision.
I did a web search and got the below "AI" generated results on the question "Asking price range for 1958 Chevy C60 truck in Ontario Province CA". From your pictures and descriptions, the "AI" results indicate your truck likely falls into the condition category "Fair/Driver Condition (Running farm truck, moderate wear): $7,000 – $15,000 CAD".
I'd suggest you do a similar search on the web, as my results also provided some links to recent ads for the sale of similar trucks that you can look at to help you decide where to place your starting asking price.
As a reminder, when you do decide on an asking price, please create a new post in the Trucks for Sale forum. That way the post can start off fresh and full of all the pictures and details you'd like to post.
