| | | | Joined: Mar 2017 Posts: 76 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Mar 2017 Posts: 76 | Was browsing for information on possible project. My Aunt let me have a 1940 Chevy REA Express Truck. This forum and the body/vin tag helped me to identify it as a 1940. Now to get this thing dug out and back to the barn. It is a 1 1/2 ton with dual rear wheels. The 216 is in place but the transmission is gone. It is very rough. Nothing is going to buff out. :)It is one of the cowl only trucks with a REA Body.
2 = Tarrytown, NY
WB = 1940 158-1/2 Utility- 1-1/2 Ton Truck- Single or Dual Wheels (Short School Bus)
03=March
Going to have to do some digging. The tractor wouldn't quite pull it out and I do not want to tear it in half.
