Greeting from New Jersey,

1952 GM Chevrolet Repair/Overhaul manual.

OVERHAULING TRUCK STEERING GEARS

Click on the link to read OR download.
Manual is stored at my Google Drive Storage Cloud.

https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B6ejBNFlsW2AREdiXzZfM0ZiMlU/edit?usp=sharing

Brad Allen in Utah has allowed me to use
his GM slides to make up this PDF. file.

I have the actual printed GM manual.
Brad has the slides.

Slides & Manual were made in 1952.

Slide presentation was made by the Jam Handy
Organization in Detroit, Michigan.

This pdf. file is for your personal
antique automotive reference library.

It's not to be sold by anyone.

It's my pdf. file that I made.

It's here @ stovebolt to be shared with everyone for FREE.

Brad & I would like to hear some feedback.

I sent Brad a master copy of this pdf. file yesterday.

He thinks it's good enough to post up @ stovebolt.

I was disappointed frown
It was so clear and fresh I wanted it up on a slide screen with the smell of a warm projector running and... well frankly the computer experience then just felt flat and sorta meaningless computer_punch

Back in the 50's when we had bad roads and sorry lubricants, overhauling steering boxes was a common thing. But its been a long time since I have done one. I think its very educational for anyone who has never been into a steering box all the way to someone who has done a lot of them. If I were to do a box, I would certainly follow this thing step by step. I didn't have the luxury of having a manual like this 50 something years ago. Even though it was copyrighted in 1952, I had never seen it before.

Thanks George, unfortunately I have the same problem with a pdf
file on your Google Drive Storage Cloud as I do with all the
others that I've tried to download. Starts to download them and
then just locks up. I'm running a brand new Dell computer with
Windows 8 operating system, and Internet Explorer is my browser.

Just got back from town George, thanks, I'll take a
look at my email.
I've rebuilt a couple of the steering gears, even made
some parts on the lathe that didn't come with the kit.
I used the booklet from one of the vendors, same thing
as Brads film strips. But I'm always interested in
seeing another copy of the procedures from another angle.

Thanks again,

All of my Windows boxes are Windows 7. Our server ran on Unix for 25 years and now runs on Linux, but thats no good for browsing the internet. I have had horrible experiences with Explorer. I use Mozilla with Google as my search engine. Make sure that you have a good version of Adobe Reader. I quit buying Dell about 10 years ago because they have so much Dell only crap thats hard to get rid of. I think if you use Mozilla and use Google..not Google Chrome, you should be able to download the pdf. Google is trying to control things like Microsoft once did. But thats just how it is. On my Windows 7, Google Drive freezes when I try to access it with Internet Explorer.
