I finally found a 54 235 engine that runs really good and a mech speedo s10 t5 trans. I have a 37 bell housing but i still need a clutch fork and pivot ball as well as a clutch disc and t/o bearing. The disc i know i can have made fairly easy but not sure on the fork and pivot ball. I got an adapter plate from vintage metalworks made for the 37 bell housing. I have been looking for a 37 truck fork and pivot but no luck yet. I remember reading about the 37 fork being a little off center. Has anyone else tackled this conversion? My original 207 has a cracked block and leaks coolant besides the fact that it will do about 50 mph tops and it is screaming at that. This conversion will make it a much more driver friendly truck.
Thanks!!

Ron,

MY 37 clutch housing ( picture ) didn't fit my T5. Check to see if the trans will fit your clutch housing. I am using a '50 clutch housing and it came with a 12V flywheel, starter, and clutch forks.

ebay clutch fork

I'm just giving a heads up.

You do not want a 37 fork, it is designed for a carbon throwout bearing.
1938 and up use the ball bearing style.
You do not want a 37 bellhousing either, as the pivot ball is in the wrong place for a 1938 or later fork.
A 1938-47 truck bellhousing is what you want.
