Just curious if anybody might have a pattern for an AD bench seat? Or where a guy might look for one? I am planning on sewing my own seat cover in leather and neither of the seats I have came with a cover
Thanks in advance

Good catch. It is not all that sweet. I was trying to make a good trade without lying.

Well good luck out-smart [censored]ing a smart a$$, my friend. Seriously, I can't stop thinking about a perfectly fitted leather seat.

Hey guys

I have a team doing a nice leather seat for the '48 2 ton.

One rebuilds the cushion and back from a pile of bent broken springs and the other sews the leather.

Maybe the one doing the sewing would sell a set of patterns. It would be easy to make copies of this one and make a little side money without much work.

How much does the leather cost to cover one of these seats?

I can't say. The client provided several hides of a special vegetable tanned leather.

As a Vegetable Rights Activist, I protest the use of the blood of vegetables for the purpose of your customer's vanity.

I'll talk with the person who sewed the seats for the '48 2 ton.

As I said earlier, she may be happy to duplicate the pattern and sell them for a small fee.

People are much more likely to follow through on something if they get something for it than if you expect them to do it for free.

Sorry, thought I replied after I talked to her.

First, she sewed the cover to fit the rebuilt seat and new padding her partner put together. She didn't make a pattern, cut and sewed to fit.

Second, we changed the stitching on the bottom to make the contrasting stitching look better. The original style was a "waterfall" front and we changed that.

Sorry

No worries, thanks Jim
I'm thinking to just go ahead and order a std vinyl cover for now then next winter pick all the stitches out and use it as a pattern?
