Anybody know if the original fuel pump on my 51 GMC truck can be rebuilt ? Or if not, then maybe a source for a new one ? The engine is the 270 inline 6. I think I will need a new petcock as well.

Thanks, Troy

Hi Red63,

Any of the Chevy/GMC L6 engine fuel pumps should work, just whether or not you want the dual action for wiper vacuum.

Now a days it seems cheaper to buy a fuel pump out right rather than have one rebuilt.

Any of the big name auto parts stores should have one, NAPA, Auto Zone, O'\Reilly's...etc.
