A while ago, I gave Barry a confidence boost. He was feeling a little low due to his recent lack of performance. This seemed to help because ever since I did this, he's run perfectly. Slowly making improvements to my boy. Merry Christmas Barry!!

Nice looking truck. I like the PCV set up. Is that stock?

Yep, everything is stock on the big 261. I even converted it back to 6 volt.

Bruce- I bet Barry loves the new heart transplant. He probably feels like a teenager again.

On the PCV setup- Do you have vented valve covers? How are you moving fresh air into the engine.

Barry still has his original 54,000 mile 261 and has not been rebuilt to the best of my knowledge. Not totally sure why it's painted the incorrect color, originally it would have been close to the new valve cover color. When I adjusted the valves I got carried away cleaning the valve cover and ended up painting it.

On a PCV engine there are no vents in the valve cover. The manifold draws the lower engine vapor out and clean filtered air is pulled into the upper engine through a hose from the air cleaner to the valve cover, hence the name "positive crankcase ventilation". The picture is my other 261 I installed in my 1954 1 ton dually stake.

I guess the shut off for the heater is stock? I had that on a 53 3100 once also. LOL

Yep, not quite stock. I guess you make due with what you got lying around. It's going away this summer when I replace all the heater hoses.
