Need to redo rear brakes, and I'm thinking about converting to a dual cylinder. I grew up driving single master cylinder trucks, they don't scare me, but I also appreciate the dual system if a line breaks. How involved is this? Does the master cylinder stay under the floor? The mounting piece needs to be modified. I think even some have been able to fit power assisted dual master cylinder under the floor.
I'm going to use a master cylinder like the one on my '70 Chevy Nova. It is made for 4 wheel drum brakes and has the same 1" bore that the stock single truck master cylinder has. And I can keep my stock pedal.
