OK I'm a lazy bum- tried for a few minutes to search a way to find what the original color was on my 61 GMC 1000. gave up and decided to take the easy way out and ask on here. it has been painted at least once- a faded blue now with a brush no less. I removed the bed and the back of the cab is a white of some type where the brush couldn't reach. and in the door openings it looks like it had been 2 tone at one point. anyway I expect there is something in the VIN that tells the truth. the vin doesn't say anything about color, need the tag with paint and trim codes - take your pic
