| | | Joined: Nov 2013 Posts: 73 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Nov 2013 Posts: 73 | just getting started on my 61 GMC 1/2 ton and got it running,driving and even stopping after a brake overhaul.since bringing it over the border from New Mexico a week and a half ago. hoping to start getting some needed parts like rocker panel repair pieces and a front wheel bearing cap that is missing and a few other pieces.does anybody know if American classic truck parts down close to Dallas stocks their stuff and sells over the counter, or if there is a better place to get it in the area? American Classic does not have a sales counter. That is the reason I don't use them. A double whammy-sales tax and shipping. I prefer to buy from out of state and pay shipping only.
There are lots of parts you can get from your local parts outlet, too. I'll likely be down that way first week of December and plan on driving over there to see what I can get. couldn't be over a 45 minute drive from Keller where our daughter lives. he did not have the grease cap for the front hub though. that was one of the items I had hopes of finding but maybe I should give them a call back and see if they might be able to get me one in if I give them a little notice | | | | | Joined: Mar 2005 Posts: 1,636 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Mar 2005 Posts: 1,636 | If it's a stock 61 1/2 ton, the local parts store should have them.
